How to Take Screenshot on Android (Smartphone and Tablet)
Android phones come in various brands and models. But most of them share similar ways of taking screenshots. No matter whether you’re using a Samsung, Google Pixel, OnePlus – or any other Android device – the steps are pretty consistent.
So, how to take screenshot on Android – smartphones as well as tablets?
1) Standard Method (Power + Volume Down)
The most common way to take a screenshot on Android is by – pressing the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time.
Hold both buttons for a second or two until you see the screen flash. A thumbnail of the screenshot will appear briefly at the bottom of the screen.
2) Three-Finger Swipe (Available on Some Devices)
Some Android phones, like – OnePlus, offer a gesture method. Just swipe three fingers down the screen at the same time to take a screenshot. You may need to enable this option in your phone’s settings under Gestures.
3) Palm Swipe (Samsung Devices)
Samsung phones have a unique feature called Palm Swipe. To take a screenshot – swipe the edge of your hand across the screen from one side to the other.
This option needs to be enabled in the settings under Advanced Features> Motions and Gestures.
4) Using Google Assistant
If your hands are busy or you prefer using voice commands, simply ask Google Assistant to “take a screenshot.” Your assistant will capture the screen for you and offer you the option to share or save it.
Once you’ve captured the screenshot, it’s saved in your Gallery or Photos app. Guess what? Most Android phones also give you an option to – edit or share the screenshot immediately after taking it.
